External Reviews

"A great 'coffee table' type book that you can dip in and out of for ideas on where to travel or for a general high level summary on a particular country. It contains around 2-5 pages on each country in the world (more pages on the bigger countries, less on the smaller ones) with an overview of the country's top places to visit along with a country map and other detail on language spoken, currency etc. Not enough detail to be your guide book when travelling a particular country, but then that's what the country guide books are for. Great for inspiration."

"I liked the fact the book covered all the countries of the world as also had at least a photo for each. The downside to this is the 900+ pages but I use it for a quick reference guide to know a little bit in a very short amount of time." - Amazon Reviews.

"It's on everyone's bookshelves; it's in every traveller's hands. It's on mobile phones. It's on the Internet. It's everywhere, and it's telling entire generations of people how to travel the world.' - Fairfax Media (Australia).

'Lonely Planet guides are, quite simply, like no other.' - New York Times.
